WooCommerce: Weight Based Shipping plugin settings
In the control panel, go on the left bar and click on:
Woocommerce > Settings
Click on the “Shipping” tab.
Then on the shipping Tab page click on the blu sub menu “Weight Based Shipping”.
You will see a page with the list of existing shipping rules.
To modify the rules click on the one you want modify.
A pop up window will appear with the following settings:
- Taxable – Keep Yes
- Label this is the name of the rule that appear on the panel, to avoid confusion give the same name as the value below “Title”
- Title this is the name of the rule that appear on check out
- Destination – Keep all allowed
- Order weight – the range of weight:
in above put the minimum weight of this rule (keep the “or equal” box selected)
in below put the maximum weight of this rule.
Keep “after discount applied” selected - Order Subtotal – keep the actual settings, this one is to limit the rule to a specified amount, but we don’t use.
Scroll down the window you will find the following settings:
- Base cost – enter the price assigned to this rule.
- Weight rate – don’t touch it
- Shipping classes– Keep as is
- Modifiers – Keep as is
Close and click on Save changes at the end of the rule list table.
To create a new rule, follow the same steps as 1 to 3 but instead of click on an existing rule, click on “Add new” button.
A blank pop up window will appear please fill the following settings:
- Taxable – Keep Yes
- Label choose a name for this rule, to avoid confusion give the same name as the value below “Title”
- Title Set the name of the rule that appear on check out
- Destination – Keep all allowed
- Order weight – the range of weight:
in above put the minimum weight of this rule (keep the “or equal” box selected)
in below put the maximum weight of this rule.
